Location and accommodation

The symposium will take place in the Main Building of the University of Latvia, (19 Raiņa boulevard) on May 6th-8th, 2011. The university is located in the heart of the city, within a few minutes' walking distance from the historical Old Town and with plenty of accommodation opportunities and transport connections nearby.

To our arriving participants and guests we recommend the Konventa Sēta Hotel, located in Old Town (9 Kalēju str). This hotel has accommodated participants of our previous events and is an excellent choice. The following sites may also be useful to you:

Arriving to Riga

Riga International Airport (RIX) provides plenty of connections from all across Europe and beyond. It is located within a convenient 20-30 minute trip from the city centre and is easily reachable by either public transportation or taxi. Speaker instructions

40 minutes have been allocated for each presenter (including time for discussion). Chairmen will be asked to adhere strictly to the time limits of the session. PowerPoint projection will be available in the session halls which are equipped with a laptop computer and a projector. (MAC-users are advised to take the relevant adapters with.)

You are welcome to bring handouts of your presentation but please be advised that the conference secretariat will not print and copy materials for you.
